Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art, which included the work Fellahin by Inji Efflatoun. The price achieved of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,498.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Inji Efflatoun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee), which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,298.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fellahin von Inji Efflatoun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.498,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Inji Efflatoun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.298,93) versteigert wurde.
