The work Hibiscus Flowers by Inji Efflatoun was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 23,040.00 (€ 26,698.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Inji Efflatoun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee), which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,298.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hibiscus Flowers von Inji Efflatoun wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.040,00 (€ 26.698,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Inji Efflatoun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.298,93) versteigert wurde.
