Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work The Fruit Carrier by Inji Efflatoun was worth GBP 27,750.00 (€ 32,581.11) to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over.
