In November 2010 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien, which included the work Le repos au pied des arbres by Inji Efflatoun. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Inji Efflatoun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,298.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le repos au pied des arbres von Inji Efflatoun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Inji Efflatoun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.298,93).
