Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Egyptianlandscape With Trees And Egrets (From The Prison Series) by Inji Efflatoun. The price achieved of GBP 18,125.00 (€ 20,439.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Inji Efflatoun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee), which sold at auction in April 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,298.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egyptianlandscape With Trees And Egrets (From The Prison Series) von Inji Efflatoun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.125,00 (€ 20.439,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Inji Efflatoun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian'Ahlam Almuetaqala (Dreams Of The Detainee) beobachtet, die im April 2018 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.298,93) versteigert wurde.
