Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Igor Mitoraj achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in November last year. In the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction, the work Torso alato sold for EUR 150,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Mitoraj - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work For Hadrian, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Igor Mitoraj erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea wurde die Arbeit Torso alato für EUR 150.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit For Hadrian beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10) versteigert wurde.
