The work Bocca di Eros by Igor Mitoraj was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 88,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47 %. Admittedly, works by Igor Mitoraj have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For Hadrian in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bocca di Eros von Igor Mitoraj kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 88.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For Hadrian im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10).
