The work Torso Italico by Igor Mitoraj was sold in the Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2086 auction at Bonhams in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 86,760.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 45 %. Admittedly, works by Igor Mitoraj have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For Hadrian in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Torso Italico von Igor Mitoraj wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2086 bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 86.760,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 45 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For Hadrian im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10).
