This artwork by I Made Djirna achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Demo I sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,284.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Demo I the most expensive artwork by I Made Djirna that we have observed at auctions so far.
