Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figures by I Made Djirna was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 41,825.00 (€ 4,355.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by I Made Djirna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Demo I, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,284.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figures von I Made Djirna im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 41.825,00 (€ 4.355,78) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von I Made Djirna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Demo I beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.284,70) versteigert wurde.
