Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2001 Christies in Singapore held the auction SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES, which included the work Whisper by I Made Djirna. Here, the upper estimate of SGD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SGD 7,050.00 (€ 4,362.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by I Made Djirna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Demo I, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,284.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in Singapur die Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Whisper von I Made Djirna zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SGD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SGD 7.050,00 (€ 4.362,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von I Made Djirna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Demo I beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.284,70) versteigert wurde.
