Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Hwang Yong-Yop was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,728.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hwang Yong-Yop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work HUMAN in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Hwang Yong-Yop kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.728,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit HUMAN im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93).
