Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Human by Hwang Yong-Yop was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,656.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hwang Yong-Yop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work HUMAN in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Human von Hwang Yong-Yop kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.656,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit HUMAN im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93).
