Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Story of One Day by Hwang Yong-Yop was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 21,533.03), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hwang Yong-Yop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work HUMAN, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Story of One Day von Hwang Yong-Yop wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 21.533,03) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit HUMAN beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93) versteigert wurde.
