Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Human-Mt. Geumgang by Hwang Yong-Yop was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 24,582.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hwang Yong-Yop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work HUMAN, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Human-Mt. Geumgang von Hwang Yong-Yop wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 24.582,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit HUMAN beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93) versteigert wurde.
