A top price for Hwang Yong-Yop
This artwork by Hwang Yong-Yop achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work HUMAN sold for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. This high result makes HUMAN the most expensive artwork by Hwang Yong-Yop that we have observed at auctions so far.
