The work Human by Hwang Yong-Yop was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,747.79), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hwang Yong-Yop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work HUMAN in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Human von Hwang Yong-Yop wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.747,79) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit HUMAN im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93).
