Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hwang Yong-Yop achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work HUMAN sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,401.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hwang Yong-Yop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work HUMAN, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hwang Yong-Yop erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit HUMAN für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.401,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hwang Yong-Yop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit HUMAN beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93) versteigert wurde.
