Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Hurvin Anderson. The price achieved of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 62,742.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hurvin Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audition in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,369,000.00 (€ 8,730,274.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hurvin Anderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 62.742,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hurvin Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audition im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.369.000,00 (€ 8.730.274,76).
