Description
HURVIN ANDERSON (B. 1965) Central Range screenprint in colours, 2011, on wove paper, signed and numbered 11/18 in pencil on the reverse, published by Durham Press, Pennsylvania, with their blindstamp, the artist and publisher's copyright inkstamp on the reverse Image 664 x 406 mm. Sheet 695 x 432 mm.
Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Central Range by Hurvin Anderson for GBP 630.00 (€ 630.00). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hurvin Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audition in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,369,000.00 (€ 8,730,274.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Central Range von Hurvin Anderson für GBP 630,00 (€ 630,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hurvin Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audition im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.369.000,00 (€ 8.730.274,76).
