Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huma Bhabha achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Lecturer sold for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,050.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huma Bhabha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,126.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huma Bhabha erzielte im März 2019 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Lecturer für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.050,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huma Bhabha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.126,11) versteigert wurde.
