Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Four works: (i-iv) Untitled by Huma Bhabha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,632.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Huma Bhabha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,126.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four works: (i-iv) Untitled von Huma Bhabha zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.632,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huma Bhabha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.126,11).
