Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Hugo McCloud was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,331.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugo McCloud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To Be Titled, 2014 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hugo McCloud kam im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.331,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo McCloud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To Be Titled, 2014 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.312,50 (€ 65.053,55).
