Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian The Aboriginal Horse-Tailer by Hugh Sawrey was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 6,960.00 (€ 4,161.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugh Sawrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Shearing On The Boards At Bindi-Bango in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 45,600.00 (€ 27,267.74).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.960,00 (€ 4.161,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
