In the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction, the work Catching The Horses, Diamantina Lakes Station, Western Queensland sold for AUD 10,755.00 (€ 6,468.85) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugh Sawrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Shearing On The Boards At Bindi-Bango in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 45,600.00 (€ 27,267.74).
