This artwork by Huang Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Rolling Coins/The Whole World in A Toss sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 23,549.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding the Dragon, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yao erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Rolling Coins/The Whole World in A Toss für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 23.549,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding the Dragon beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33) versteigert wurde.
