This artwork by Huang Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work The Peach Blossoms at the Small Temple sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,914.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding the Dragon, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yao erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Peach Blossoms at the Small Temple für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.914,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding the Dragon beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33) versteigert wurde.
