This artwork by Huang Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Trotting Horse sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,368.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Riding the Dragon in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yao erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Trotting Horse für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.368,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Riding the Dragon im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33).
