Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Lighting the Way sold for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 26,022.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding the Dragon, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yao erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lighting the Way für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 26.022,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding the Dragon beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33) versteigert wurde.
