Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Learning to Ride/Cultivating Talent by Huang Yao was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,750.54) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding the Dragon, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 73,374.33).

Die Arbeit Learning to Ride/Cultivating Talent von Huang Yao war einem Käufer im Mai 2013 HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.750,54) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding the Dragon beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 73.374,33) versteigert wurde.
