Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Howard Cook could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection auction, the work Taos Pyramids changed hands for USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,398.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Cook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fog Patterns #2 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Howard Cook konnte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection wechselte die Arbeit Taos Pyramids für USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.398,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Cook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fog Patterns #2 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95).
