Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Work 65.3.23A by Hisashi Indo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,225.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hisashi Indo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work 64.11.27A, which sold at auction in October 2016 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,635.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Work 65.3.23A von Hisashi Indo kam im Mai 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.225,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hisashi Indo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work 64.11.27A beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.635,83) versteigert wurde.
