Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hikari Shimoda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Whereabouts of God #38 sold for HKD 152,500.00 (€ 16,085.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hikari Shimoda; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Whereabouts Of God No.31 sold at auction in September 2020 with the realized price of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 24,967.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hikari Shimoda erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Whereabouts of God #38 für HKD 152.500,00 (€ 16.085,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hikari Shimoda; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Whereabouts Of God No.31 im September 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 24.967,74).
