Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hikari Shimoda could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Cherry PickedModern & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Power Line and Rabbit (Secret) & Funeral (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 3,187.50 (€ 414.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hikari Shimoda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whereabouts Of God No.31 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 24,967.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hikari Shimoda konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Cherry PickedModern & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Power Line and Rabbit (Secret) & Funeral (Two Works) für HKD 3.187,50 (€ 414,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hikari Shimoda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whereabouts Of God No.31 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 24.967,74).
