In May 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop, which included the work Child Of This Planet #34 by Hikari Shimoda. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 10,080.00 (€ 1,065.53), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hikari Shimoda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whereabouts Of God No.31 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 24,967.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop durch, in der auch die Arbeit Child Of This Planet #34 von Hikari Shimoda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 10.080,00 (€ 1.065,53) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hikari Shimoda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whereabouts Of God No.31 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 24.967,74).
