Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Light Up! Lonely Hero and Obake by Hikari Shimoda. The price achieved of HKD 15,600.00 (€ 1,946.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hikari Shimoda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whereabouts Of God No.31 in September 2020 with an auction result of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 24,967.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light Up! Lonely Hero and Obake von Hikari Shimoda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.600,00 (€ 1.946,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hikari Shimoda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whereabouts Of God No.31 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 24.967,74).
