In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints, which included the work The Vikings Daughter; and First Love by Herbert Thomas Dicksee. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,450.00), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Thomas Dicksee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dying Lion in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 91,562.90).

Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Vikings Daughter; and First Love von Herbert Thomas Dicksee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.450,00) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Thomas Dicksee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dying Lion im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 91.562,90).
