Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lions before temple ruins by Herbert Thomas Dicksee was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in June 2008. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 632.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Thomas Dicksee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dying Lion in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 91,562.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lions before temple ruins von Herbert Thomas Dicksee wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 632,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Thomas Dicksee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dying Lion im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 91.562,90).
