A top price for Herbert Thomas Dicksee - as previously expected
In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry, which included the work The Dying Lion by Herbert Thomas Dicksee. The price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 91,562.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Dying Lion is the most expensive artwork by Herbert Thomas Dicksee that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dying Lion von Herbert Thomas Dicksee zur Versteigerung kam.
