Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street, which included the work Washing Day, Serra Valle, Veneto, Italy by Henry Woods. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,187.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Country Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street durch, in der auch die Arbeit Washing Day, Serra Valle, Veneto, Italy von Henry Woods zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.187,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Country Studio im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27).
