Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work San Trovaso, Venice by Henry Woods for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,614.53). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Woods - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Country Studio, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit San Trovaso, Venice von Henry Woods für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.614,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Country Studio beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert wurde.
