Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fruit Sellers From The Islands, Venice by Henry Woods was sold in the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,510.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Woods - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Country Studio, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).

Die Arbeit Fruit Sellers From The Islands, Venice von Henry Woods wurde im Dezember 2009 in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.510,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Country Studio beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert wurde.
