Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A Venetian Canal by Henry Woods for USD 25,000.00 (€ 15,875.03). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Woods - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Country Studio, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Venetian Canal von Henry Woods für USD 25.000,00 (€ 15.875,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Country Studio beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert wurde.
