Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Rest On The Steps, Venice by Henry Woods was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,186.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Woods have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Country Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Rest On The Steps, Venice von Henry Woods wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.186,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Woods auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Country Studio im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27).
