Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Woods could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction, the work On The Steps Of The Rialto, Venice changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,720.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Woods - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Country Studio, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Woods konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art wechselte die Arbeit On The Steps Of The Rialto, Venice für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.720,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Country Studio beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert wurde.
