Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Port Donnant, Belle-Île en Mer by Henry Moret was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Moret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Ile de Groix, Morbihan, which sold at auction in June 2016 for GBP 200,500.00 (€ 240,665.43).

Die Arbeit Port Donnant, Belle-Île en Mer von Henry Moret kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Moret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Ile de Groix, Morbihan beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für GBP 200.500,00 (€ 240.665,43) versteigert wurde.
