Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Through The Pass by Henry F. Farny. The price achieved of USD 466,000.00 (€ 423,867.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry F. Farny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Pastures New, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Through The Pass von Henry F. Farny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 466.000,00 (€ 423.867,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry F. Farny mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Pastures New beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.024.858,11) versteigert wurde.
