Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,760.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry F. Farny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Pastures New in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11).

Die Arbeit A Moment of Suspense von Henry F. Farny kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.760,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry F. Farny erzielen.
