In December 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work In Pastures New by Henry F. Farny. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, In Pastures New is the most expensive artwork by Henry F. Farny that we have observed at auctions so far.
