Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nyutchi, The Old War Chief, Zuni by Henry F. Farny was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,500.00 (€ 27,908.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry F. Farny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Pastures New in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nyutchi, The Old War Chief, Zuni von Henry F. Farny wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.500,00 (€ 27.908,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry F. Farny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Pastures New im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.024.858,11).
